Welcome to your James Bond newsletter The Exploding Pen | | Special 60th anniversary events announced | | It's been 60 years since we were first introduced to 007 and to mark the milestone, three celebratory events have been announced.
These include a special two-part 007 charity auction at Christie's in September. Titled Sixty Years of James Bond, the auctions will feature 60 lots celebrating all 25 films in the franchise with proceeds going to 45 charities including The Prince's Trust.
The highly prized lots include a silver birch Aston Martin DB5 stunt car, a five-night stay at the Fleming Villa in Jamaica where Ian Fleming wrote the 007 books, and Timothy Dalton's signed tuxedo from Licence To Kill.
The British Film Institute (BFI) will host the James Bond at 60 Weekender later this year featuring in-conversation events with 007 producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli.
There will also be a triple-bill of Daniel Craig's three most-recent Bond films at BFI IMAX, the biggest screen in Britain.
In October, the music of Bond will take centre stage at the Royal Albert Hall for The Sound of 007 in Concert, headlined by Dame Shirley Bassey – the only singer to perform more than one Bond theme.

The Northern Irish actor's odds have recently been slashed from 20-1 to 14-1 at William Hill and he is now shooting up the Bond leader board, overtaking Peaky Blinders' Cillian Murphy (20-1).
Dornan hit mainstream success in 2015 when he starred in the romantic thriller Fifty Shades of Grey. Since then, he has appeared as creepy Paul Spector in The Fall and 'the man' in BBC hit drama The Tourist.
The 39-year-old actor also won praise for his role in the new Kenneth Branagh-directed movie Belfast. It's this diverse range of acting experience that could give him the edge to play 007 next.
