Travel has been chaos this week but it was worth struggling into town to meet not one but two absolute legends of beauty. I was lucky enough to have breakfast with Huda Beauty's Huda and Mona Kattan, and catch up on all their news while scoffing mini doughnuts. An excellent breakfast option, I think we can all agree.

Getting there on time involved a hideously early start, so my dark circles were definitely crying out for the latest Huda innovations. There's a new and impressively pigmented #Fauxfilter concealer, which pairs handily with their Wishful Eye Lift & Contour 1% Bakuchiol and Peptide Serum. That second one is gunning for puffy, exhausted, ageing under-eyes, and I should probably cling to it, Gollum-style, but no - you Beauty Edit peeps come first!

"It's got so much going for it. 10 haircare benefits for a lazy person in one bottle! My hair was definitely smoother, not weighed down and had less frizz. It enhanced my blow dry and curls which last a bit longer, and I love that there's UV protectant in there! In the evenings I am spraying a little 'Andrew' on washed hair, wrapping it in a micro towel and waking up to soft untangled hair. It really does do everything. Super impressed!!" 5/5

Ginny's skin is delighted by Vichy Neovadiol Meno 5 Bi-Serum, £38 here - a formula designed to help with the hormonal changes of menopause and peri-menopause.

"Holy cow. My menopausal skin has never loved me more! It's worked absolute wonders on my neck which I was SUPER conscious about. My bestie said I looked luminous! It's simply magic. I had no expectations and the lightness of the product didn't inspire but blimey, the results are something else! My skin is definitely less dry but in a natural way, not oily or greasy. I can't wait to explore the range further."

Zaneta is impressed by the staying power of KVD Beauty Tattoo Liner, £19 here, which she tells us is "long lasting, waterproof and smudge free".

"Honestly this is the best eyeliner out there. I always find myself needing to retouch my eyes at the end of the days but with KVD I don't!! Somebody said 'How is it possible your eyeliner is not smudged yet in this heat? I need this!' It's amazing!"

The tan commandments

Wow! When we asked you for your worst-ever fake tanning fails, we knew we'd get tales of Wotsit toes and stripey shins but you lot have truly surpassed yourselves! You sent in THE most hilarious stories - thank you once again for making our day.

"I was staying at my in-laws for the first time and applied a new fresh tan the night before. The tan did feel slightly sticky but I thought nothing of it. When I used the ensuite the next morning, to my horror I saw the nice white loo seat had taken on a brown tan too! "I loved this. This delivered a golden, even colour, and I got lots of comments! Several people asked me if I had been away, as I had "a lovely colour", and my mum asked to borrow it. It has converted me to using a separate face self tanner – I could really tell the difference. Body tanners tend to look too fake on the face, but this one was really natural." - Liz
